NATA 2017 Registration

  • The NATA 2017 Registration will start from the third week of January, 2017 and will be open till 2ndweek of August, 2016 (Tentatively).
  • The registration form will be filled and submitted only through the official website of NATA.
  • Candidates can apply for NATA exam for a maximum five times during the period when the latest score card is valid.
  • Candidates are advised to fill the registration form as per the given instructions.

Registration Fee

The NATA registration fee is Rs. 1250/- for all the candidates. Fee payment can be done through online mode (debit/credit card, net banking) or offline mode (by cash payment in any branch of ICICI Bank). Candidates will be required to pay additional charges for the following:

  • Domestic Credit Card -1.25% of the NATA Fee plus service tax as applicable
  • Domestic Debit Card -0.75% of the NATA Fees plus service tax as applicable
  • Domestic Multiple Bank Net Banking Payment Gateway -Rs.15 per transaction
  • Collection through PAN India ICICI Branches in cash (through challan) – Rs.30 per transaction

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have completed SSC (class 10th) or equivalent examination to apply for NATA.
  • For B.Arch course, students should have cleared 12th or equivalent exam with mathematics subject.
  • There is not any lateral admission criteria for admission in any stage/year of B.Arch.
  • NATA score card is valid for two years from the year of appearing.

NATA Exam Pattern

  • Type of Exam: The NATA exam pattern comprises of two parts i.e. drawing test and aesthetic sensitivity test.
  • Mode: The drawing test will be conducted through offline mode (pen and paper based) and aesthetic sensitivity test will be conducted through online mode (computer based test).
  • Questions: The drawing test will contain three questions.
  • Duration: Candidates will get total two hours for drawing test.
  • Questions: In aesthetic sensitivity test, candidates have to answer 40 objective type questions.
  • Duration: To answer each question total 90 seconds are allotted in CBT mode.
  • Negative Marking: There is not any provision of negative marking in this exam.

Preparation Tips

Candidates should plan their preparation strategy and do accordingly. Make a time-table as per your suitable time. Include little breaks in between the long hours of study. Practice some minimal computer skills such as pointing and clicking Mouse button it will be required for online mode test.Practice sample question & mock papers and also work on aesthetic sensibilities and drawing skills.

NATA Syllabus

The NATA test has been divided into two parts i.e. drawing test and aesthetic sensitivity test. The drawing test will measure the ability to sketch a given object, sense of perspective drawing, understanding of proportion and scale, etc. The aesthetic sensitivity test will be composed of Analytical reasoning, Architectural awareness, Mental Ability, Imaginative comprehension and expression, etc.

NATA 2017 Admit Card

The NATA 2017 Admit Card/ Appointment Voucher will be issued to the candidates at the time of registration. It will contain details such as candidate’s test date, time of test, test center, candidate ID, appointment number, etc. It is necessary to bring Admit Card/ Appointment Voucher along with ID Proof at the examination center.

NATA 2017 Result

The NATA 2017 result will be available on the fourth working day after the test date. Candidates can download their score card through the official site of NATA. Candidates are advised to use print out of the score card at the time of applying for the admission. Original NATA score card will be retrieved and verified by the admission authority directly from NATA server.

Admission Process

According to the Council of Architecture regulations, candidates applying for B.Arch programme must have completed 12th or equivalent exam with mathematics subject securing minimum 50% marks and 40% marks in NATA exam. The admission will be based on the marks scored in NATA and qualifying examination as per the ratio of 50:50. After receiving the score card candidates may apply for admission to universities or institutions where the candidate is seeking for admission.
