Manipal University 2021 Application Form

Candidates must check following details regarding Manipal University 2021 Application Form:

  • Manipal University 2021 application form has been made available from 11th December 2020.
  • The last date to submit the application form will be till 15th March 2021.
  • Candidates are able to fill the application form only via online mode. No other mode will be entertained.
  • While filling application form, candidates are advised to also upload passport size photograph & signature in prescribed format.

  • Online mode of payment includes credit card, debit card or net banking.

Manipal University 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through following eligibility norms before filling application form for Manipal University 2021:

For B.Tech programmes:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board or university.
  • Percentage: He/ she must secure at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam to be eligible.
  • Mandatory Subjects: Candidates must have Physics, Mathematics and English as their mandatory subject along with any one from Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology or any technical vocational subjects to be eligible for examination.

For BBA programmes:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board or university to be eligible.
  • Percentage: Applying candidates must score at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam.

For MBA programmes:

Manipal University 2021 Admission Procedure

Manipal University 2021 Admission into MBBS/ BDS/ MDS/ MD/ MS/ DM/ MCh courses will be on the basis of rank obtained in NEET. Candidates seeking admission into management courses will be offered through XAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ MAT and admission into B.Arch. will be on the basis of NATA score.

Admission into Manipal University will be on the basis of entrance test (MET). It will be organized by the university. Other than entrance test, candidates will also be able to take admission on the basis of national level course.

Manipal University 2021 Entrance Exam

Manipal Entrance Exam (MET) will be organized by Manipal University 2021. It will be organized via online mode in the month of April 2021. Candidates seeking admission to UG course must study their 12th level course whereas for PG course candidates must study from UG level course.

For UG level course, candidates must study from NCERT books. Question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

Manipal University 2021 Test Centre

Manipal Entrance Test (MET) 2021 will be organized in various cities. Some of them are Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Surat, Shimla, Bhopal, Indore, Jaipur, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Dehradun, Chandigarh and many more.

Manipal University 2021 Result

Manipal University 2021 Result will be released via online mode in fourth week of May 2021. To check result, candidates will have to use their login credentials. The University will also release merit list after the declaration of the result.

Merit list will contain name of students selected for counselling rounds. Candidates selected in merit list will have to further participate in the counselling process.

Manipal University 2021 Counselling

The counselling procedure for Manipal University 2021 will be organized from first week of June 2021 via offline mode. It will be mandatory for all category candidates to participate in the counselling process.

MU OET 2020 Slot Booking has been started. Exam Date has been announced. The exam will be organized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Formerly Manipal University). MU OET (Now, known as MET) is a university level entrance exam organized to offer admission into various UG and PG level programmes. Students will get admission into various specializations of engineering, applied sciences, pharmacy and other courses. Candidates have to qualify the entrance test with the minimum qualifying marks successfully to get admission in the University and its affiliated institutions. However, admission into the MBBS/MD/BDS/ MS/ DM/MDS/MCh programmes will be provided to the students on the basis of their NEET Scores. B. TECH PROGRAMME SEMESTER DETAILS

 

The first and second semesters of the MIT B.Tech programme is common for all branches. Students will have the option to change their branch in semester III against available vacancies. However, this option would be given based on their performance during the first year.

MU OET 2020 Slot Booking

After the application process is over, candidates have to do their MU OET Slot Booking. Candidates are able to book their slots online from 21st July 2020 onwards.

To book exam slot, candidates are required to login with their application number and password, fill their slot booking form and confirm after choosing the slot.

MU OET 2020 Admit Card

After the slot booking is successfully done, MU OET 2020 Admit card is generated. Students are able to download their admit card from 21st July 2020.

After downloading the admit card, students have to paste their photograph and sign on it. The admit card will contain necessary details like exam date, time, reporting time, application  number, course details, exam day instructions etc.

MU OET 2020 Exam Pattern

MU OET 2020 Exam Pattern will vary for various courses. Candidates must check the complete details of exam pattern before applying for the test:

For B.Tech Programme:

  • Exam Mode: The entrance test will be held in Online CBT mode.
  • Type of Questions: The question paper will contain multiple choice
  • Number of questions: The questions paper will consist of total 200 questions.

MET application form submission date has been extended till April 9. Earlier, the last date to submit the MET application form was March 25. Candidates can apply for MET 2019 either through the online medium or even by the offline mode. In order to successfully complete the admissions process for MET, candidates need to fulfill the below mentioned steps.

Step 1: Fill Application Form

Candidates can apply for admissions at Manipal University by completing their application process either online or offline. There is a different application process for Indian and International students.

Step 3: Download MET Admit Card

Candidates will be able to access their MET admit card (e-hall ticket) 24 hours after they have booked their schedule through the online test booking system.

Candidates can download their admit card for MET by filling their application form number and online test booking password on the official website of the entrance exam.

The e-hall ticket will also be emailed to candidates on the email address mentioned by them in the application form.

Step 4: Appear for MET

Candidates need to give a multiple choice objective type entrance exam to secure admissions in engineering programmes on offer at Manipal University.

Step 5: Select branch during counselling

After making it to the rank list of MET 2019, candidates are called for the counselling round. Here, the candidates have to select the branch of their choice as per the availability.

MU OET 2017 Online slot booking

 

Manipal University (MU) OET 2017 Slot Booking will be held from March 24 to April 10, 2017. Candidates, who have successfully submitted their application form for MU OET 2017, have to do MU OET Online slot booking 2017 to book their exam centre, time slot and date for taking the entrance examination. Merit List: General Category: Based on the marks obtained in MU-OET, Manipal University will declare a list of all candidates appeared for the entrance test on or before 26.05.2016 in the website. In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the  inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined on the basis of higher marks in the order of preference as under:

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE

Indian: Admissions to some of the courses, Medicine & Engineering in particular, are done through a process which has an online test followed by counselling, which eventually leads to the admission of a student. Admissions are either through online entrance test or are based on qualifying examination marks.

 

International: Foreign nationals, Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals supported by NRI relatives can apply under Foreign/NRI category. Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

 

Candidates can apply either under General category or Foreign/NRI category. Those submitting applications under both General category and Foreign/NRI categories will be considered only under the General category. Change of category at a later stage is not possible. For MBBS, BDS and BArch Foreign and NRI students studying abroad or if studying in India can be sponsored by only parents who have NRI status.

 

For candidates applying for the MD/MS/PG Medical Diploma courses he/she must be an NRI or supported by either Parents or Brothers or Sisters or Spouse having an NRI status. Candidates supported by cousin brother/cousin sister, uncle, aunt, brother/sister-in-law or any other person will not be accepted.

 

 However, for all other courses, candidates can be sponsored by parents, brothers and sisters of parents or even their own brothers and sisters with NRI status.

COUNSELLING PROCEDURE


A) Come prepared for counselling

 

Ø  Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements given in page no. 40 of the Prospectus 2016.

 

Ø  Documents Check Lists

o    e-Hall Ticket

o    10th standard marks card for proof of date of birth

o    Marks card of 10+2

o    Conduct and Character certificate obtained on the School/College letter head/pad. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted

o    Transfer certificate or School/College Leaving Certificate issued by the School/College. No other certificate in lieu of this will be accepted

o    Four recent and identical passport size photographs and one stamp size photograph

o    Fees: As applicable for the programme

o    Copy of PAN card of parent

o    Authorization letter if representative is attending on behalf of candidate

o    One set of photocopies of all the above documents

 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:All the candidates should produce the above mentioned original documents and one set of photocopies for verification.

 

B) On the day of counselling

 

Ø  The physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counselling, he/shemay authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counselling.  This representative must carry the authorization. CLICK HERE for the authorization letter format.

Ø  Only the candidate/representative will be allowed into the counselling hall. 

Ø  Candidate should fill the registration forms available at the registration counter

Ø  Candidates will be called as per their MU-OET 2016 rank for document verification.  The original documents will be returned back to the candidate after verification.  The original documents should be submitted on the day of orientation.Successful candidates will be allotted seats according to their rank and number of seats available in the respective campus.  Such candidates should pay the first year fees at the counselling.  Manipal University will not entertain any requests for extension in this regard.

Ø  Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.

Ø  The choice of course made by the candidate/representative is final and binding and cannot be altered later under any circumstances.

 

 

C) After Admission

 

Ø  Allotment order and receipt/s for the payment made will be given to the candidate on completion of the admission process.

Ø  Candidates who require hostel facility should contact the Chief Warden of the allotted institution for hostel enrollment.

Ø  Candidates should report to the allotted college on or before the reporting date mentioned in the allotment order.

 

D) Waitlist

 

When the seats in which the candidate is interested are filled (not vacant), the candidates may choose to be waitlisted.  Also the candidates who are admitted and wish to upgrade their seat, may choose to be waitlisted.
