NATA 2020 –

Council of Architecture (CoA) has started online registration for upcoming NATA exam. Candidates can apply online at nata.in or from the direct link on this page. The first test for NATA is on April 19 and the second test is on May 31, 2020. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level entrance exam for admission of eligible 10+2 / 10+3 qualifiers, in 5 year B.Arch course. Important Dates

NATA is held twice a year. This time, it is being held in April and May. Eligible candidates can apply for both the paper. The important dates for NATA 2020 April and NATA 2020 May exam are as follows:

NATA 2020 Exam Time

The schedule of NATA 2020 is as follows:

NATA 2020 Application Form

The application form has been released on the official website nata.in. Candidates can check below the steps to fill the online

Step 1: Click on the link above.

Step 2: Sign up for NATA 2020 by entering name, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, e-mail id, date of birth, aadhaar number, choose password, security question, security answer, etc.

Step 3: Once, registered, candidates can fill details in the application form of NATA, upload images and pay application fee.

Application Fee: The application fee of NATA 2020 is uniform for all genders and is as follows:

For SC/ ST Category Rs. 1700 Rs. 3100
If applying for abroad centre Rs. 10,000 Rs. 18,000

NATA 2020 Eligibility Criteria

There are 2 types of eligibility that the candidates have to take care of.

First, for taking NATA 2020 exam

 
  • Educational degree: 10+2 qualified or 10+3 diploma holder (passed /appearing)
  • Minimum marks in qualifying exam: 50% in aggregate and 50% aggregate in the compulsory subject
  • Compulsory subjects needed in qualifying exam: Physics, Chemistry and Maths in 10+2. Diploma candidates must have maths.

 

New NATA 2020 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of NATA 2020 has changed this year. The major changes are as follows:

1. Part A and Part B of the paper has been interchanged. Now Part A is for Drawing and Part B is for PCM and General Aptitude & Logical Reasoning.
2. Earlier, MCQs were only asked from Maths and General Aptitude but now it questions from Physics and Chemistry will also be asked.
3. The number of questions have been changed in both the parts, however, total marks is the same.
4. The total duration of the exam has been increased by 15 mins.
6. Marking scheme has been also changed from 2 marks per question to 1.5 marks per question in Part B. In part A there are 2 questions of 35 marks each and 1 question of 55 marks.

Total duration: NATA is to be held for a total duration of 3 hours 15 mins

Language of the Question paper: The questions are displayed in English language only.

 

Sections: The question paper is divided into parts, Part A and Part B.

Type of Questions: There are 2 types of questions asked in the exam:

  • Drawing questions in Part A
  • MCQs in part B

Maximum Marks: The total marks in the exam is 200

Marking Scheme: Each question carries 1.5 marks in Part B and in Part A there are both 2 marks and 1 marks questions.

There is no negative marking in the exam!

Mode of the exam: The exam is held in both online and offline. Part A is held in offline mode and part B is held in the online mode.

Exam pattern of Part A – Drawing:

  • Total questions: 3
  • Total marks in the section: 125
  • Number of 35 marks question: 2
  • Number of 55 marks questions: 1

Exam pattern of Part B – PCM and General Aptitude:

  • Total questions: 50
  • Total marks in this section: 75
  • Number of question in PCM carrying 1.5 marks each: 15
  • Number of questions in General Aptitude and Logical Reasoning carrying 1.5 marks each: 35
